We are only 3 weeks away from this exciting event and I wanted to get you all of the final details for every activity of the weekend. I apologize b/c this is a pretty lengthy message, but PLEASE read it in its entirety! First off, if you haven't already, please join Facebook, and join our Texas Sigma Alumni Group! Friday March 6th
7-10pm - Meet N Greet @ Bubba's Bar and Grille. There will be no registration fee for this event, you are on your own for food and drinks, but there will be tons of great specials for our group. See the link below for directions to the bar. (Google Map Here) Saturday March 7th
9:45am - 12pm - Texas Sigma Alumni Breakfast and Annual Meeting. (Wildcat Golf Club Meeting Room) The cost for Breakfast is $12 which will include a full breakfast, juice and coffee. This is an extremely crucial event for this group. We will be discussing our strategy for the Re-colonization of Texas Sigma which is scheduled for Fall 2009. But... we have several mandates that we need to complete before we will be granted the colony, so PLEASE try to make this meeting if nothing else. We will have a full financial report of the Alumni Association, all the officer reports, a report from our Province Archon, Thomas Hailey who will be joining us, as well as having our yearly elections of AA Executive Board and Committee Chairman 12:30 - 4:30pm - 4th Annual Golf Tournament (Wildcat Golf Club) - The cost for this event is $110 which includes Green and Cart Fees, lunch and two drink tickets per player. We will have teams of 4, shotgun start right at 12:30 sharp!! The $110 will also go towards prizes for the winners, closest to the pin, longest drive, and "Dead Ass Last" team. For those of you that want the "Jason Canlas Package" (don't play golf but want to ride around in a cart and drink) please let me know and I will reserve a cart at a discounted price, but you will still get lunch. After you are done golfing, turn in your score card and you can take off, we are going to present the awards at our Casino Night Dinner. Link to the Golf Course below. www.wildcatgolfclub.com 8pm - 12am - Casino Night Dinner & Awards (Crowne Plaza Downtown, 1700 Smith Street Houston, TX 77002 Main # 713-739-8800) We also have a block of rooms at the Crowne Plaza for $89 per night, which is a STEAL!! The Casino Night cost is $60 per person and wives, girlfriends, or significant others ARE WELCOME!! This cost includes dinner, two drink tickets (Full Cash Bar) and all of your chips and prizes for Casino Night. We will have dinner first then do some awards, and then the real treat of the evening is that we will have a brilliant keynote speaker, Dr. Will Keim!! Dr. Keim is distinguished speaker that has spoken at SAE Leadership School for several years and is a great friend to the Fraternity. After Dr. Keim's speech, we will kick off the Casino festivities. We will have several black jack, craps, and poker tables and at least one roulette table, with dealers and all!! Your goal is to end up with the most chips at the end of the night, b/c those with the biggest stacks will be eligible for some great prizes!
